An odor always lives in something: a spill soaked into the foam under a carpet, smoke residue filmed onto the headliner and glass, food gone missing under a seat. So the work starts by finding the source. Carpets and cushions are extracted with hot water until what comes out of them runs clear, hard surfaces and glass are washed instead of wiped, and pet hair gets pulled out of fabric with rubber tools and stiff brushes before a vacuum will take any of it.
Once the source is gone we deal with the air side, vents and cabin filter housing included, so the smell does not walk back in on the first warm afternoon. Some things never fully leave, and heavy smoke is the usual one. We would rather look at the car first and tell you what a detail can and cannot do than take the job and disappoint you.
